Time Spent Wisely

Swan lake minus the swans, photo by a cold author

We sit in the cold
Holding hands by the river
Your warmth is enough.

Remembering when
We dipped our feet underneath
Fish nibbling toes.

We touched hands lightly
A still breeze on water’s edge
A leaf’s gentle kiss.
